Bob D: Recovery Advisor
Bob D is approaching 17 years of continuous sobriety and brings a powerful blend of life experience, leadership, and service to the recovery community. Born and raised in the New York Metro area, Bob built an accomplished career as a top executive for three publicly traded companies and went on to launch three successful private ventures of his own.
Alongside his professional achievements, Bob has made service through the 12 Steps a central part of his life. He has sponsored a large number of AA members over the years, guiding them through the transformative process of long-term sobriety. Bob currently serves as the Active Secretary for multiple Alumni Meetings in the Conejo Valley—one held at a nationally recognized recovery center and the other at one of the area’s leading treatment facilities. He also remains deeply engaged in a private 12-Step group where he continues his own spiritual growth and accountability.
Bob lives each day by a set of core principles:
God first. Sobriety second. Everything else third.
He reminds others to let go of what they cannot control — people, places, and things — and often reflects on his personal philosophy:
“It is what it is.”A dedicated leader and a living example of recovery in action, Bob brings strength, humility, and purpose to everyone he supports on the journey to a better life.
